I can do school whenever I want to. My teachers are great, and it honestly feels like in-person school even though it’s online. We talk about NCAA eligibility and preparing for college in my seminar course, too, which is helpful.
I love how learning online allows me to balance school with golf training and competitions. My personalized program lets me explore my outside interests, too. I also love my supportive community of teachers and friends.
Because I travel so much for tournaments, I love how I can work at my own pace. I can take my time to better understand something, or work ahead if I want to. I wasn’t able to do this when I was at a traditional school.
My teachers were so supportive, which was the biggest thing for me. Also, Laurel Springs’ self-paced model allowed me to complete or delay school work when I was competing. The flexible structure was crucial.
The academy is the brainchild of Tarun Sardesai, also the Director of Instruction at the academy. Tarun’s vision was to create an eco-system of excellence that gives talented young golfers the best opportunity to hone their skills to compete at the highest levels and make a career out of the sport.
Our eco-system of excellence, which comprises Sports Science, State-of-art Coaching Systems and Technology, Academics, Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology, develops all-round athletes. We track performance with our proprietary practice performance software and expect accountability from players and coaching staff. The system makes players practice more effectively and lays the foundation of discipline early in the life of students. We also educate parents on effectively parenting a sportsman.
